Los Angeles, California, October 23, 2011 - Protesters of Occupy LA have taken over Los Angeles' City Hall Park camping there as a form of civil disobedience. Occupy LA is part of the larger Occupy Wall Street Movement which began this summer in Zuccotti Park in the Wall Street Financial District. Their protest is focused on social and economic inequality, corporate greed and its influence on government. Their slogan "We are the 99%" refers to the divide wealth distribution, where 1% of Americans control over 40% of the wealth in the country.
